Efflorescence Wall

Time for budding, blossoming, blooming and flowering. It’s summer. It’s heyday.

Showing my appreciation of all things joy inducing on this extra sunny and totally perfect day by walking around carefree, needlepoint flowers on my top (and more on my arm), in total vibrant white and comfy paisley print wedges, almost forgetting I’m in my city and giggling with my BFF like we are 5 again.

On an uncut version of this post you would have seen us braiding each others hair and bonding over ice cream(s).

I love college

Or maybe just the preppy fashion surrounding college fraternities.

Flashy bespoke bomber jackets (think Grease) or just initial patchwork-ed sweaters and contrast sleeved jackets are exactly my thing. Add vicious schemes and the necessary gossip and you are almost there. Whether you’re a “Cruel Intentions” minion or more of a “Greek” kind of gal, collegiate, all-american style is your fashion mantra. Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren & Brooks Brothers can’t all be wrong, right?

Like it or not, there’s no escaping this. In these SOMF leggings you will. Add a white (or black) oversized tee or loose sweater, a pair of sneakers or lace up boots depending on your mood and hit the streets (crossroads, alleys, highways and so on) in -that unique- style.

Time Machine

Looks like I jumped into a time machine and was transported back in high school, when animal print sweaters were cool and everything was -a little- more fun. Time flies and you can’t help a bit of nostalgia building up; not for the trends as much (I have enough fringed leather jackets as it is) but for the carefree state of it all.

Older maybe, but wiser and blonder. Killer combination.

Confetti Knit

Amidst beautiful hand painted flowers and before I even had my tall cup of tea, I posed in my confetti knit sweater (can also be worn as a dress for the daring) and brand new leather Chelsea boots. Cozy as spring and warm like sunshine, I couldn’t resist feeling like a giant marshmallow.

Candy is good for you.

Transitional looks may be deceiving

When the Wangs want out, the Wangs go out. Never mind the temperature. From the waist down I’m enjoying a Pina Colada on a fine summer day and from the waist up I’m chasing Santa in the snow. Forgive me, but I’m currently enduring an inner battle of the seasons, meaning I don’t want Summer to end but I’ve also missed Winter.

I think there’s a pill for that.

Oxblood suede, denim bows and a missing fireplace

“Winter is upon us” as some friends of mine -with thrones- use to say and the thing is, I kind of like it. Think cozy blankets in front of a fireplace and burning hot chestnuts, dense hot chocolate and good books.

Oxblood is the color of the season and is as good in everything, from patent skirts to leather jackets and from blood stained lips to short nails. (Since “there will be blood”, my lipstick is from Sephora).

Prepare yourselves. You’ve been warned.

Florals, Peplum & Satin

This is what emerged from my latest Closet Quest. Searching for something else, I found this cute drop waist peplum dress that -what a surprise!- matched my satin wedges perfectly. As I was cleaning up and re-organizing the mess that is my wardrobe’s normal state, I came upon this old double faced pouch (floral fabric on the inside) and did the math.
